10 Perfect Skincare Routine for Dry Skin

Starting a perfect skincare routine, you will first of all know your skin type. Caring for a dry skin is tough and demanding. Dry skin could be sensitive and sore but the most concern associated with dry skin is its flaky, itchy, rough and scaly nature. These are the routines to follow to achieve that perfect skin;.





  1. Wash your face with a moisturizing cleanser that does not have alcohol or fragrance (natural based product is preferred) or a gentle and mild soap. And massage as you are spreading it on your face.

  2. Rinse off with warm water, never use hot water as it affects your already dry skin. To dry, gently pat the towel on your face, do not rub your skin with a towel.

  3. Tone your skin, use a toner that would not dry your skin especially those ones that contain alcohol. Rose water is the natural preffered option.

  4. Apply a good and natural based moisturizing cream, apply on a damp skin until it is completely absorbed by the skin. This will keep your skin hydrated all day.

  5. Sunscreen is your best friend, apply before stepping out, SPF 30 and above. It protects yor skin from the effects of the weather most especially the sun against skin cancer, sunburn, aging and wrinkle skin. Re-apply every few hours if your exposure is intense.

  6. Wear a light make-up to prevent dry patches, opt for the moisturizing ones.

  7. Never wear make-up to bed, it is a no no. Remove with a make-up remover, a moisturizing cleanser or a gentle and mild soap as you did in the morning.

  8. Apply a thick and nourishing night cream. At night, maximum skin repair occurs and that will keep your skin moisturized all throught the night.

  9. Exfoliate once every week.

  10. Above all, drink a lot of water as it re-hydrates the skin from the inside, eat food high in vitamins and use natural cosmetics. Have a enough and required sleep time.
